If you’re not sure whether or not you’re a feminist, use the Beyoncé & Jay Z feminist test…

If you don’t believe you’re a feminist, use the Bey and Jay Z feminist test. Comedian Aziz Ansari was on David Letterman a while ago and spoke about feminism. He had this interesting theory or rather test as to how one can figure out whether or not you’re a feminist in which he uses music’s power couple.

At the VMA’s where Beyoncé received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, stamped her feminist status only to receive criticism from the legendary Annie Lenox. I do agree that feminism has become a bit of a fad lately, but I do not agree with Annie’s reasoning why Beyoncé is not a feminist.

The movement itself is so complex that some refuse to call it a movement and I guess it is because there are so many definitions and stereotypes that have come with those who support it. Aziz gave a comedic perspective to a topic that is otherwise always mocked in comedy. It was refreshing to see another side where comedy actually supports feminism. Watch the clip below:
