Why Angels Can Fly…

I think it’s very important to be able to see the funny side of life and its joyful dimension and not to take everything too tragically. I’d also say it’s necessary for my ministry. A writer once said that angels can fly because they take themselves too seriously. Maybe we could also fly a bit if we didn’t think we were so important. – Pope Benedict XVI

A friend prompted me to look into the mirror and watch myself dancing over the past weekend. I ended up laughing then I started crying. I started crying because I realised that I hadn’t seen my happy face in a long time. We become so caught up in our everyday struggles that we forget to just pause and live in the happy moments and laugh at the funny sweet nothings. I also learnt through twitter and Facebook that I take myself too seriously. So this week is dedicated to being spontaneous and light-hearted. And oh, Mr Benedict I believe it’s “Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly” and it was said by G.K. Chesterson.

Check out Destiny’s Child’s “Happy Face” below. I hope the words make you smile. What are you dedicating your week to?
