Watch Khuli Chana on Huffington Post Live’s #WorldBrief and see pictures from his US trip

Seemingly following in the steps of Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Freshly Ground and Lira, Khuli Chana is the latest South African artist to receive international acclaim. The Maftown rapper recently won the African Muzik Magazine Award for ‘Best Male Southern Africa’ in Texas, USA just the other day and had a sit-down with Alyona Mink for an interview on Huffington Post Live’s #WorldBrief.

Alyona posed questions about the negative issues that we face in South Africa such as the political landscape, the Oscar trial as well as violence, making reference to Khuli’s much publicised shooting incident with the police. While Khuli tried to answer positively, I feel like he could have done better with his answers.

Check out his interview and freestyle HERE. Skip to 22:32 minutes as the video also includes other news stories.

Here are some more pictures from Khuli’s US trip, courtesy of our girl Makho Ndlovu who was lucky enough to share in the moment with Khuli.
