To thine own self, be true!

To thine own self, be true!

Sounds poetic, doesn’t it? Like something Shakespeare would say.

My blog is by no means a self-help blog, but a space where I share my everydays with my readers. Every now and then I read something inspirational but never have I felt inclined to post my reads on this blog… till today.

I do not want to bore you (I do this very easily), but I just feel that if something has helped me on this journey called life, I should share it with as many people possible and only hope that it will touch them the same way it has touched me.

With that said, I want to share some virtues I read in the book Life Coach, by Jeff Archer.

Tips to help you know yourself, your beliefs and your own mind:

  1. Write down your current values and beliefs that support your success in life.
  2. Live by your core values everyday.  Your beliefs should be as firm and unquestionable as the fact that you know night follows day.
  3. As you live by your current values, other values and beliefs will come to your attention. Refine your belief system as time goes by.
  4. As you grow more confident, start speaking up in meetings, sharing  your opinion, earn what you are worth and go out there and get what you want in life!

As you might know by now, I am a self-proclaimed country bumpkin residing in the city. So many things are exciting for us country folk when we get to the city, thus it is easy to be impressionable to all the wrong things (conscious or unconscious), but these virtues have really shaped me  and I can truly say that I am standing today, because of them.

I hope that they will have a similar effect on you too!

Peace, love and all that good stuff :-)
