The impact of your energy is more far-reaching than you think

One of my most popular posts on this blog is entitled “Careful of your energy” and I wrote it in the beginning of my blogging career. To this day that is a lesson I revisit and an affirmation or attitude that I constantly try to make myself conscious of.

In addition to that lesson, I have learnt that the impact of our energy is not only on us and the people that we interact with, but that it has greater far-reaching effects. When you are aware of how much power you possess in that regard, you tend to be more responsible with it.

The other day I popped into the supermarket after a long day and as you know, by this time cashiers are highly exasperated. I smiled at my cashier and told her that tomorrow would be a better day. After an exchange of a few more words, her face looked more hopeful and the person who received service after me was treated with less exasperation that the person before me.

When I was having that conversation with the cashier it was because I had just had a hectic day myself and I could relate to what she was feeling at that hour. Speaking to her made me grateful that at least I was already on my way home and made me appreciate that I am not the only one who goes through the struggles that I go through.

The energy that I met the situation with managed to change, not only how I was feeling, but it had a greater impact. Suddenly service improves, suddenly lines move faster, suddenly the store empties up quicker, the staff can clean sooner and leave for home sooner to spend some time with their families before the cycle continues the next day.

While this is a simple application, the principle remains. We are energies and the vibrations that we put out into the world impact every single thing whether directly or indirectly. The vibrations that we put out into the world do this funny thing where they come back in the opposite direction. If we aren’t careful, we stand to be the biggest loser in the situation.

It is also important that we realise our power towards the energies that other people vibrate. We are all clear on being able to recognise and cut off energies that drain us. However, we also need to take care to never stand in the way of someone who is trying to do the right thing even if their intentions are selfish. The right thing tends to have an impact on all of us when done. When we block someone from doing it, we are also blocking the energy of that goodness from having its effect on us.
