PLAYLIST: New music from Nothende, Tiwa Savage and Ziyon

Nothende debuted her latest single from her upcoming album, BraveHeart. The song, entitled Dumela, is about accepting whatever it is that you are called to do. She sings the song in Setswana, English and some IsiZulu with signature Nothende vocals (I’m a sucker for good background vocals.)

She is also sharing the journey to creating this album on her website and said about this particular song:

I titled the meditative song ‘Dumela’. An acceptance of a spiritual path of love and healing. A dedication to the ones who came before me. A message of faith and love. I am a mere vessel in this song. It truly came from above, and for this, I am eternally grateful.

Following a successful show at Africa unplugged at the O2 Brixton Academy in London, Tiwa Savage has released a new single entitled “My Darlin” which is produced by trusted collaborator Don Jazzy and Babyfresh. It is still unclear whether it is just an isolated single or whether the Doro Diva is planning on releasing another album soon. Download the full song HERE.

Liquideep’s Ziyon has released his album, Audio Alchemy. I have been hearing some good things from those who were at the launch this past weekend. There is a song with Nothende on the album entitled The Last Time which I love but can’t find anywhere on the internet. The first single from the album is one In A Million. Check it out below.
