I cannot begin to express my joy that Oprah’s Next Chapter will finally be aired in South Africa! On the show, Oprah interviews leaders, news makers, celebrities and real-life families. Much like The Oprah Winfrey Show but without a studio. She has enlightening in-depth conversations with them in true Oprah style!
The decision to launch Oprah’s Next Chapter was made after Oprah reflected on her 25 years on television. “After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever – moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too,” said Winfrey. “It is so energizing to be out and about in the world exploring new people, new places and new ideas.”
She has interviewed the likes of Rihanna, Fergie, Stephen Colbert and we will see an episode in which Oprah Winfrey is interviewing teen popstar Justin Bieber. “Me and the Bieber just finished our interview,” Winfrey wrote on Facebook, sharing a picture of herself with the teen singer.
Bieber is in the midst of a busy year – his “Believe” world tour, in support of his chart-topping album of the same name, extends through April.
South African viewers will see the Justin Bieber episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter on Monday 26 November on TopTV (Channel 453) and DStv on the TLC channel (Channel 172).
