Miguel and French Montana Join The Line-Up for the highly anticipated MTV MAMAs

Just when we think the excitement levels for the MTV MAMA’s could not get any higher, they drop another bomb on us. Just this week they announced international hitmakers Miguel and French Montana as headlining acts at the highly anticipated award ceremony which will be held at the ICC in Durban on the 7th of June.

I must admit, I initially raised my eyebrows at international stars being added onto the line-up but found out that French Montana was actually born in Morocco and only moved to the US when he was 13 years old. While Miguel might not have a direct link to the African continent, I am more than thrilled that he is also on the line-up because I am somewhat of a fan.

It seems like MTV Base is holding nothing back when it comes to these awards. Other performers to look forward to on the night include Africa’s very own Davido, Mafikizolo, Uhuru, Flavour, Oskido and Tiwa Savage.

Voting is still open on www.mtvbase.com until midnight on 4 June 2014 while you can still vote for Song of the Year until 7 June 2014. The tickets are also available at Computicket at R450 for seated tickets and R200 for general access tickets.
