Ladysmith Black Mambazo is gonna be on David Guetta’s new album!

French DJ and producer David Guetta is working on a new album and guess who he’s featuring? Yip! Our very own Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The Grammy Award-winning group will join a host of artists like Nicki Minaj on the new album. When asked about the direction of the album, David Guetta said:

“I could have chosen to repeat the style that has become so successful for me, but I wanted to grow as a producer and push myself to the limit,”

I am not sure how this is gonna turn out, but I am excited to know. The last time I liked a David Guetta song was when he did When Love Takes Over with Kelly Rowland. After that eeeeveryone did EDM so I am hoping that he will add a fresh spin to dance music because EDM is stale now.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo have been very busy lately. They have collaborated with Zahara, Mi Casa to name a few. I think doing covers of all those hip songs helped propel them into the public eye again. Earlier this year they a medley featuring their very own Homeless, Xigubu, Oliver Twist and Y Tjukutja at the MTV Africa Music Awards. Check it out below:

Thank you for the write up on this. We’re quite excited to have had the opportunity to work with David Guetta. We, too, are curious as to how it will sound as once we finished recording the mixing process was left to the “mad scientist.” Hope we shine!
