By now you know how much I love it when huge brands embrace the opportunity and realise the role they have to play in conversational and social issues. My focus this week is on the RED campaign, which has brought together brands such as Nike, GAP, Emporio Armani etc.
RED was founded in 2006 by U2 frontman and activist, Bono. The purpose of the campaign is to engage the private sector for the purpose of raising awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Each involved company creates a product with the Product RED logo and a percentage of the profit is donated to the Global Fund
