Bonang nabs MTV MAMA nomination for Personality of the Year + 5 times Bonang has slayed us in 2015

Pop the Ciroc! Our girl Bonang has been nominated in the Personality of the Year category at the 2015 MTV MAMAs which will take place in Durban on the 18th of July (I really wanna go so if you know someone, please hook me up).

Last year Lupita Nyong’o took this award and this year another African Hollywood newbie, Trevor Noah, has been nominated alongside B. The other nominees are Ivory Coast soccer player Yaya Toure, Nigerian comedian Basketmouth and Nigerian actor OC Ukeje.

We are only halfway through the year and Bonang has already slayed us so many times. Here are five moments that she made the continent stop and look – sealing her as one of those people whose every move we watch.

When she won the Favoutire Radio DJ award at the Kids Choice Radio Awards in LA

When she shared these sizzling pics from her vacation in Zanzibar

When she covered City Press’ #trending following the announcement of  her new talk show Afternoon Express

When she interviewed Pharrell Williams for #PharrellWithWoolies

And finally, my favourite…

When she released the ‘Love is on…’ advertisement as one of her Revlon ambassadorship duties

I asked her when B*dazzled (her online reality show) is coming back and she gave a very cryptic ‘soon’ so I hope these moments will be captured for us to watch them.

Love this girl!
