Are You Curious About Love? – Introducing a conference with a difference…

Almost every song that has been written is about love. Many of these songs have provided solace for times of heartbreak and have amplified those butterflies in the stomach at the honeymoon phase. Yet none of these songs have provided answers to some of the questions that arise when coming to the concept of love, what it is supposed to be and how one is supposed to go about getting it right in relationships. Enter the Just Curious Love Conference.

The Just Curious Love Conference is the brainchild of Lelo Boyana who owns the successful Just Curious celebrity and entertainment blog. I asked her a few questions about the conference. Enjoy!

The conference came about as a joke between friends, what convinced you to finally make it happen?

We wanted to make it happen from the day we committed to it, we just weren’t ready yet but now, ooh we are ready! I created an email address and said if we got over 50 emails calling for it, we’d do it and I got those in just an hour.

What do you aim to achieve with the conference?

LOL! Sizobona khona, but honestly, it just started from wanting to talk to other women and ask “Is it only me?” I am very cautious of promising heaven and earth. All I know is that it’s something we want, we are doing it and it better rock!

You are working with Myrna Burgess (who I love) on the conference. Is there a specific reason why you chose to work with her?

Myrna (@MsTaboo) wrote a popular feature on Just Curious, The Chronicles of Ms Taboo and she is one of the REALest people I know. I was so taken aback by how open she was about her life. She wrote about things we go through but are scared to talk about. Plus she is creative so the ideas on what kind of guys to add to the panel, plus the themes, she helped a lot.

You managed to rope in renowned American author and love guru Steven James Dixon. Why did you feel it was important to have him be a part of the conference?

It is all HERE. He tells us all the things we don’t want to hear.
