A taste of what to expect in Mariechan’s upcoming album

Every now and then I hear someone ask “What happened to those girls who were on Popstars?” and I know they are talking about Jamali. Though they did not win that particular season of the talent show which was super popular back then, the girl group became the most successful to come out of the show.

They went on to release 4 albums which did not do bad. I remember Liesl being featured in a song by a kwaito/house artist and more recently, she performed a show at Katzy’s (watch it HERE). Jacqui also released her solo album Ready To Love last year. Mariechan featured on a song with Lulo Café.

After the success of Mariechan’s song with Lulo, the powerful vocalist released the single Let Me Live My Life which did really well on South African radio. A while ago, my producer Silas gave me a sneak-peak into a song that he and Justin Lawless were working on for Mariechan and I was really impressed. The song was called Naked and I recently found out that it is actually the title track of the album.

A while ago the singer performed her new material to a live audience, giving them a taste of what to expect from her upcoming album. I was particularly excited by It’s You and Stonecold. Watch the below video to see her flex her vocal muscles.

I’m super excited for this album!
